I have taken similar photos from this spot quote some time ago, but I had to go the Buckhead this morning (7:00 am) and has a couple of hours before work.
In both these photos, I had the camera shutter speed at 5 seconds and I had to adjust the aperture to get the the look that I wanted.
I used a tripod for the first picture of the tail lights of the automobile traveling down Piedmont Road. The second picture is of the sign on the Red Pepper Restaurant. I hand held the camera, focused the camera on the sign, and then moved the camera around for the 5 seconds that the camera was taking the picture.
If you follow the lines, you can see that I moved the camera down slightly, then to the left, up and to the right, then down, back to the left, up and to the right.
