After Cloudland Canyon, it was on to Chattanooga and Union Station, also known as the Choo-Choo Hotel. These pictures are of the lobby area of the hotel and a side room (chandelier). Beautiful architecture.
A little secret... One can park in the Parking Garage for $3.00 all day and then take the Shuttle Bus (round trip) downtown for zip, avoiding the hassles of finding parking downtown.

Week 24
We went to Cloudland Canyon in Rising Fawn, GA and to Chattanooga, TN this weekend. We made the trek down the "Waterfalls Trail" The Cherokee Falls and Hemlock Falls. Although I know of the trail rating, Linda was surprised at reading it in a pamphlet. It is rated 'strenuous' and it was. Goin down was easy, but coming up... we paced ourselves and stopped frequently. Linda did great, considering that she had knee replacement surgery a few years ago.

Week 23
I think that if Charles Darwin saw this picture that he would say that it is further proof of evolution... The first thing that I saw looking at this picture is that the bird looked like a Walrus. It was a first glance and I noticed only the face.
This is a Brown-Headed Cowbird... do they call Walruses cows??? For a moment, I thought Charlie was on to something. Then I wondered, Did the Walrus evolve from the Cowbird or ... did the Cowbird evolve from the Walrus. Pure nonsense, on both our parts.
Here is a better view, at least from the Cowbird's perspective.

Week 23
Taking pictures can be difficult when there is a wind present I did not notice that the wind was an issue when I took this picture, but when I saw it on the computer monitor, it had a 'ghost' effect, which often occurs when the camera shakes. The camera was on a tripod, so that was not it and, thus, I realized that the wind was the culprit.
Obviously, I photoshopped the picture and to the chagrin to some, I liked it better than the original. Remember, to enlarge the picture, click on it once.
The following are of the two renditions.

Week 22a
This is not your cute little pet turtle. I shot this on the way to work today, It was crossing the road by the swimming pool in our neighborhood.
It measured 10" across the back and 12" long. The tail was 10"long. When I went to measure it, the head came out further and hissed at me. Then it start to turn around to face me (I was behind the turtle as I measured it.

Week 22
I shot this fountain 1-1/2 - 2 years ago in the Fall and came across it again when in the Dressage subdivision for a yard sale. It is on a cul-de-sac and has a couple of benches for one to sit and enjoy this idyllic setting.
