Week 43b

After our day trip, we returned to carve and or paint pumpkins.  Here is mine...

Week 43a

These are of Blair Bridge in Camden, NH.

Week 43

We are in New Hampshire this weekend for a wedding and the foliage is well past its peak, although there are a few pockets of beauty left.  Most everything is yellow or rust color in the middle of the state and no color in the White Mountains region.

The first picture was taken next to a covered bridge in Campton, NH.

The next picture was taken as we drove south on I-93 above Bristol. NH.  I was in the passenger seat with the camera pointed to the side of the road.  With the shutter set at 1/30th of a second and the automobile traveling within the speed limit, I took the shot.  The greens are from the evergreen trees and the yellows and rusts are from the deciduous trees.  It is my version of PhotoArt...

Week 42

There is a wilderness path at Rock Creek Park in Dawsonville, GA, which has great facilities.  There is a walking trail around the open area and the is a wilderness trail.  I did walk very far into the wilderness trail because I did not see any wildlife.  This picture does show what I did see along the trail...I was amused by thinking why and how it was put there.

I came across the next scene while on my way to a Yard Sale.  The early morning sun does wonders for photos.

Week 40

This is a picture of a sign that I have been driving by on the way to work this week and it is at the base of a stop sign on Shiloh Road.  It caught my eye immediately and questions came to my mind; "Who put it there?"  Was it a male or female?" and other questions.  I do think that it was a female due to the pink background and the purchased and neatly placed lettering.  A male would use a magic marker on a piece of scrap wood.

More, below the picture...

Here is where my mind went with this.  What is the story behind the sign?  I quickly came up with a few scenarios; two of them were sad and one cynical.

THE CHALLENGE:        What do YOU think is the story behind the sign?

Write a brief story as you would envision the story to be.

Send your story to me at:     raycarrollpix@yahoo.com

Week 39

This month's assignment at our subdivision's photo group is taking pictures from different angles; other than the usual of taking a picture standing in front of the object (see second picture).
