Week 21

We went to Disney World and Universal Studios this week woith our daughter Stephanie and grandsons Jack and Ben.  Great time!

I have to give a 'shout out' for Stephanie.  She went on every ride the the guys wanted ride and that included the roller coaster at Universal, which is not for the fainthearted.  There were a couple of rides that they went on five times and then there were the water rides that left one drenched, as 'river rats.'

Great job by a great mom.

Week 20

This is Linda's flower garden in the back yard.  Between the various bird and now the blossoming flowers, it has been enjoyable to sit and take it all in.  The Knock Off Roses are starting to blossom.  This is the first Spring here and we find it exciting to see what will sprout.

This is one of many Day Lilies that is in our front yard.  I took it with a macro lens, which allows a very close close-up.  Click on it to see a larger picture.

This next picture was a great surprise for me.  I have spotted this woodpecker a few times and finally got a picture.  Ironically, today was a great day for all kinds of feathered friends to gather.  Cardinals, grosbeaks, goldfinches, Tuffed Titmouth, and a few others that I have not identified.

WEEK 19

This is a male and female ardinal that has been around for quite some time.  It is interesting to see some birds here for a week or two and then they are gone.  Some have come back from time to time.

I did do some editing to get them together of the support.  It is two pictures that were overlaid and a little erasing to bring forth one of the birds that was on the background photo.

Let's here it for Photoshop...

Week 18

I took these pictures of this Mallard Duck at a pond in Alpharetta, near where I work.  It was about 100 yards away and I had a zoom lens on the camera.  Not the best of shots due to the movement, cloudy day, and the distance from the camera.

The first picture is three photos stitched together into an panorama.  The other is a single shot.
